In 2015, the team at the Hughes Center for Research and Innovation conducted a clinical study intended to examine the safety and efficacy of the Metabolic LDL formula. With Citrus bergamia Risso as the chief ingredient, amplified by nine other phytoextracts known to enhance its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capabilities, this new formula featured potential benefits that our scientists were confident would be proven. The study would later be published in the Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology.
Eleven subjects between the ages of 38 and 65 were selected to participate in the study based upon their body mass index, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and triglyceride levels. All participants were instructed to take two capsules of Metabolic LDL with dinner each day for 12 weeks.
At the end of the 12-week period, the following significant changes were observed in all subjects:
7.3% reduction in total cholesterol
10% reduction in LDL-cholesterol
7.1% reduction in non-LDL cholesterol
26% reduction in cholesterol/HDL
2.8% reduction in apolipoprotein B
At the start of the study, eight of the 11 subjects had HbA1c levels of 5.4 or higher. These individuals experienced the following additional significant changes:
27% reduction in triglycerides
19% reduction in oxLDL
25% reduction in LDL/HDL
27% reduction in triglycerides/HDL
25% reduction in oxLDL/HDL
37% reduction in PAI-1
The study concluded that Metabolic LDL “was clinically well-tolerated and effective… in subjects with moderate cardio metabolic risk factors, particularly in the individuals with HbA1c > 5.4%.””

“After creating Metabolic LDL’s innovative and potent formula for supporting the cardiovascular system, scientists conducted an independently reviewed clinical study to prove its effectiveness. The results of this study are astounding.
IMPORTANT TERMS TO KNOW
LDL Cholesterol – Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. May also be referred to as, “bad cholesterol” because it travels to your arteries where it may begin to accumulate on your arterial walls.
HDL Cholesterol – High-density lipoprotein cholesterol. May also be referred to as, “good cholesterol” because it scavenges harmful cholesterol from the body.
Oxidized Cholesterol – Cholesterol that builds up inyour arteries.
HbA1c – The amount of glucose attached to hemoglobin, a red blood cell protein that carries oxygen throughout your body.
Triglycerides – The fat in your blood. High triglyceride levels increase your chances of developing heart disease.
PAI-1 – Supports normal blood clotting. High levels of PAI-1 can increase blood clot formation.
Apolipoprotein B – The primary protein in LDL cholesterol. High levels of apolipoprotein B indicate high cholesterol.
A PATTERN OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
METABOLIC LDL was developed to support healthy cholesterol levels and cardiovascular function. After studying the circulatory system indepth, Synergy scientists began analyzing plants that were known for positively influencing cholesterol production and moderating oxidation. They were able to see, on a molecular level, that the Bergamot Orange had the power to support cholesterol levels already in the normal range. Bergamot Oranges are bursting with polyphenols, which are naturally occurring antioxidants that scavenge free radicals from the body.
Once Synergy Scientists had analyzed and tested the Bergamot Orange, they began focusing on what other antioxidant phytonutrients would help to enhance Bergamot’s benefits. By combining the Bergamot Extract with a proprietary blend of high-ORAC antioxidants. Metabolic LDL’s unique and powerful herbal formula naturally supports healthy cholesterol levels and oxidation, triglyceride levels, and blood sugar levels already in the normal range.”
Synergy Worldwide’s Metabolic LDL was developed to support healthy cholesterol levels and cardiovascular function by combining Citrus bergamia Risso extract with a proprietary blend of high-ORAC antioxidants. This unique and powerful herbal formula naturally supports cholesterol levels and oxidation, triglycerides, as well as blood sugar levels already in the normal range.
